Google Founded

When Was Google Founded And Created? is a question we often ask. Google is a search engine founded by Sergey Brin and Larry Page. The company’s initial headquarters were Lego-constructed, and they also had a ping pong table. Their first server was a giant Lego structure surrounded by Lego blocks. By the end of the year, Google had an index of 60 million pages. The company’s logo was designed by Sergey Brin using a free graphics program.

In 2002, Google introduced the Google Search Appliance. Cost-per-click pricing was added to Adwords. Google Labs was also founded. It was also during this time that Google opened an office in Australia. By 2006, Google is a worldwide company with a global reach. Many things make Google what it is today, and they are constantly changing. If you want to find out what made it so successful, check out the video below!

Google added a few new features to the search engine and launched its first video in the following years. It also added ten languages, and in 2005, YouTube acquired Google for $1.65 billion. Eventually, the company moved to Palo Alto, California, and added ten new languages. Google also started supplying consumers with fiber in Kansas, and the company announced its Global Impact Awards to encourage and support entrepreneurs who use technology to tackle human challenges.

The journey from the Garage to the Googleplex

The Google story began in the year 1995 at Stanford University. Larry Page was considering Stanford for his grad program as well. Sergey Brin, a student at the university, was given the task of guiding the university around.

Brin and Page struggled to raise funds for the project. The two co-founders received $100,000 in seed money from Andy Bechtolsheim, a co-founder of Sun Microsystems. A few weeks after receiving this money, Page and Brin incorporated their company.

Shortly afterward, Backrub was renamed Google (phew). The name is an homage to the mathematical expression of the number 1, followed by 100 zeros. It also reflected Larry and Sergey’s aim “to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
