In the world of construction and home improvement, precision is paramount. Whether you’re working on a DIY project or overseeing a large-scale construction site, ensuring that surfaces are level is essential. Google Bubble Level, a tool that has revolutionized the way we achieve accuracy, plays a pivotal role in achieving this.

Since you carry your smartphone around everywhere, having a range of tools available on it is quite handy. And while most of those tools aren’t as precise as dedicated instruments, they do a decent job in a pinch.

How to Use Google Bubble Level on Android

Google offers various widgets on its search results page, including a calculator, metronome, and even some search games. Interestingly, Android users can find a Google Bubble Level, which is the simplest option, among Google’s widgets.

To access the Google bubble level (also known as a spirit level) on Android, all you need to do is open the Google app on your phone and search for “bubble level.” You can also use the voice command feature of Google Assistant. This action will display a basic-level interface in a small box at the top of the search results.

You can use this Google bubble level just like a physical one. Align your phone vertically or horizontally against a surface to determine its levelness. The level will indicate the number of degrees off from zero, and there is a plus icon to assist you in achieving a flat alignment.

Step # 1:

Start by opening the Google app. If you haven’t installed it, you can download it from the Google Play Store. Once the app is open, you’ll find a search bar at the top.

Step # 2:

Next, search for “bubble level” by typing it into the search bar and pressing enter. A widget with a bubble level should appear on your screen if it doesn’t, try searching for “bubble level widget” instead.

Step # 3:

Before using the bubble level, it needs to be calibrated. Hold your phone upright and tap the “Calibrate” button on the bubble level widget. This will reset the level to zero.

Step # 4:

To use the bubble level, place your phone flat against the surface you want to check. Make sure the bubble in the level is centred. If it’s not centred, adjust the surface until it is. The bubble level will then show the angle of the surface in degrees.

If you wish to customize the settings for the bubble level, tap the gear icon located in the top right corner of the widget. This will allow you to modify the units of measurement, the sensitivity of the level, and other options.
